1.可测试各种型号不同电压等级的铜、铝芯电力电缆和市话电缆的各种故障。常见的油侵纸电缆、交联乙烯电缆、不滴流电缆和塑料电缆四种常用电力电缆的电波传播速度已经在仪器中预置，一些特殊电缆的电波传播速度可在现场利用键盘临时预置，电缆长度及故障距离无须人工换算，由仪器自动换算并显示故障距离。
